BIBLE STUDY

2 Timothy 3:16-17 “ All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching , for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. “

Bible study is essential to spiritual effectiveness, and matury. Most people want a prophetic word from God but don’t want to know the word of God itself which is the source of any truth and true knowledge. It takes some efforts and sacrifices to read, study and comprehend the Bible. The Bible is not just like any story. It relates true stories that were passed on from generation to generation since the time of Adam and Eve until they get to us through the Scriptures. And God was at work so that we could experience his presence through the Bible. We can read the Bible like a novel and tell its stories without any experience of the presence of the Holy Spirit if we are not ready to turn our heart to Jesus. However, we can get the Spirit of God from Him through the lecture and meditation of the word of God and have a covenant relationship with God. The Bible is not just printed words on papers. It is the word of God made available to free us from evils, difficulties as it gives us the true way to get to God and get saved.

How many books is the Bible composed of?

The Bible is composed of 66 books from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation. Christians struggled throughout the years to recognize all 66 books. Some non-evangelical Christian denominations recognized 10 more books. But let keep in mine that we are a non-denominational evangelical Church that has adopted the 66 books. Some stories from books like the book of Tobit are sometimes used in the practice of deliverance. If so, that book may be considered as written from believers personal experiences but not as a book of the Bible.

On an average how much time it takes to study the whole Bible?

There is no determined time to finish the study of the whole Bible. It is a book full of wisdom, knowledge, and revelation that the Saints, Christians struggled to comprehend and teach throughout centuries. Theologians, Scholastics, and pastors are still trying to get all the mysteries that are in the Bible. The Bible is made of parables, clear sentences, and true stories but also mysteries that require revelations from the Holy Spirit to comprehend. On a personal level, it depends to the way each personal is willing to learn the fundamental truth of the Bible and apply it to his life and experience the transformation of his whole being.
